📅 Power Gauge Rating
Q: Why doesn’t my stock have a Power Gauge Rating?
A: A stock may not have a rating if it is a recent IPO, trades over the counter, lacks a full year of trading history, or is missing required financial data. Foreign stocks and non-equity ETFs may also not be rated.

Q: How do I find the best sector to invest in?
A: Within the My Chaikin page, your dashboard ranks sectors from best to worst based on a combination of performance and Power Gauge Rating.
To go deeper, you can view top-performing industries by clicking My Chaikin, then using the filter panel on the left to select Industries. The list is automatically sorted using the Power Bar, so you can easily identify the strongest areas of the market.

Q: What If the Power Gauge flashes a "bullish" signal, should I automatically buy a stock?
A: Not necessarily. The Power Gauge is a useful starting point for identifying potential opportunities. A bullish signal highlights stocks that may have favorable conditions based on Chaikin's 20-factor model. However, many investors choose to consider additional timing indicators—such as technical trends, industry strength, or signals—before taking action. In some cases, several factors align and strengthen the case for a buy. In others, a single factor may be compelling enough, depending on the investor’s goals and strategy.

Q: What is the Power Gauge Rating?

Q: What do Neutral+ and Neutral- mean?
A: In Chaikin Analytics, some stocks may display a Neutral+ or Neutral– rating. These are not separate Power Gauge Ratings, but temporary adjustments made through a process called the technical overlay, which accounts for short-term technical strength or weakness.

Q: What does “Technical Trend” mean in Chaikin Analytics?
A: Technical Trend refers to the overall strength of a stock’s price behavior. A stock is rated as having a strong technical trend if its current price is at or above the Long-Term Trend (Chaikin Trend). If the price is below the Long-Term Trend, it may still be rated as strong—but only if the price is also at or above the 21-day EMA, the current Chaikin Money Flow is positive, and the Relative Strength is 89 or higher. If these conditions aren’t fully met, the trend is considered weak.
